Fortnite Chapter 2 Trailer
Fortnite hosts a Celebration Cup tournament for PS4 players this weekend, and everyone playing on Sony's flagship console is invited. Below, we recap all you need to know about the tournament including its start time, rules, prizing, cosmetic rewards and more.
When does the Fortnite PS4 Celebration tournament start
The start times for each tournament vary by region, but here's the full global list. The dates for all regions are February 15 and February 16 respectively. There are two days of action, but the start times for both days are the same.
- NA East: 7-10 p.m. EST.
- NA West: 5-8 p.m. PST
- Europe: 5-8 p.m. GMT
- Oceania: 4-7 p.m. AEDT
- Asia: 5-8 p.m. JST
- Middle East: 5-8 p.m. AST
- Brazil: 6-9 p.m. BRT
Standings & How to watch the PS4 Celebration Cup Tournament
As has been the case throughout most of this Fortnite Competitive season, Epic doesn't appear to be doing much with regard to livestreaming this event as it unfolds. That being said, we've embedded the official Fortnite Twitch channel below just in case some official festivities are planned.
In open tournaments like these, sometimes your best bet is to use the in-game tools to watch players who are at the top of the leaderboard. To do that, feel free to use these steps. As of now, this is also probably the best way to check the standings too, as Epic doesn't seem to have an official standings page at the time of publication.
- Open Fortnite on PS4 and select Battle Royale.
- In the Competitive tab, select the option for the PS4 Celebration Cup to view the live leaderboard.
- Select the name of the player you want to follow to watch their stream.
Fortnite PS4 Celebration Cup Rules & Prizing
As far as rules are concerned, the Fortnite PS4 Celebration Cup tournament follows a basic competitive format. Players must have two-factor authentication on their Epic account, be at level 15 at minimum and be at least 13 years-old. Points are awarded as follows:
- Victory Royale: 10 Points
- Second-Fifth: Seven Points
- Sixth-15th: Five Points
- 16th-25th: Three Points
- Eliminations: One Point Each
Day 1 Prizing: Prizes for day one (February 15) include the cosmetic rewards pictured below. Here's how you get them.
- Top 50 percent: "Take Cover" spray
- Top 25 percent: "Wild Accent" pickaxe
- Top 5 percent: "Tango" outfit
Day 2 Prizing: Day two (February 16) is when the real magic happens, when all regions compete for a portion of a shared $1 million prize pool. Here's how the funding breaks down.
